Bridget is an Emergency Physician at The Alfred. She is also the head of the Hyperbaric Service, and an Adjunct Research Fellow with the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University.
Bridget has a clinical and research interest in the interface between critical care and Hyperbaric Medicine. She is particularly interested in Necrotising Soft Tissue Infections, Cerebral Arterial Gas Emboli, and the care of the critically unwell patient in the Hyperbaric environment.

Adele is a dual trained Intensive Care and Hyperbaric nurse at The Alfred. Adele has been the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Hyperbaric Service since 2021. She undertook her intensive care training and later completed a Masters of Advanced Clinical Practice through Monash University.
In 2011, Adele relocated to Hobart where she found her passion for hyperbaric medicine. Adele has a special interest in the innovation and advanced treatment of critically ill patients within the hyperbaric environment.
Senior Biomedical Engineer BEng
Theo commenced at The Alfred Biomedical Department in 2007 as a Senior Biomedical Engineer and in 2011 he moved to the hyperbaric unit. He has played a pivotal role in the design and development of ground-breaking equipment for use in research projects.
This includes the development of the anesthetic heart-lung trolley scavenging system used for cardiac surgery, the transportation box used in the DCD project with Frank Rosenfeldt and the successful implementation of VAD’S, (Ventricular Assist Devices), ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) and CO2 ( pressure compensating capnography) in the hyperbaric chamber. He has a keen interest in research and development and works closely with clinicians to provide design solutions to improve patient care. He is also a member of the LOHST (Loyal Order of Hyperbaric Safety Committee) which is an expert panel who regularly meet and discuss clinical incidents and investigate chamber related issues.
