The Alfred ICU, in collaboration with DonateLife, recently hosted a delegation of intensive care and transplant staff from hospitals in Hong Kong, who were here in Australia to learn about Donation after Circulatory determination of Death (DCD).

As one of the busiest donation and transplant centres in Australia, and a pioneering centre in heart and lung transplant, The Alfred staff (including Donation Specialist Nurses Samantha Amoore and Georgie Callaghan,  Medical Donation Specialists Dr Maurice Le Guen and Dr Dashiell Gantner, and Head of Lung Transplant Prof Greg Snell) were able to share a wealth of helpful information and experience in achieving success in DCD.
