The Alfred ICU Critical Care Echocardiography Course was held over two days in May this year. Participants from across Australia came together for a series of interactive practical and small group sessions focusing on the fundamentals of critical care echocardiography, which has become a central skill of the ICU specialist. The practical component consisted of a 2:1 participant to instructor ratio with a focus on image acquisition and scanning technique. Our faculty consisted of Alfred intensive care consultants and echocardiography fellows who thoroughly enjoyed the dynamic, interactive and stimulating learning environment. We thank all participants, equipment suppliers and instructors for their efforts in making the 2024 course a success.
